Add-ons and variants
Variants are choices such as size; add-ons are extras or modifiers attached to a dish. At a POS venue, preserve the choices and prices supplied by the POS.
1. Check the dish options
Section titled “1. Check the dish options”Open the dish from Menu. Review its available variants and add-on groups. Check both the price and whether each option is available to guests.
2. Review an add-on group
Section titled “2. Review an add-on group”Open Add-ons, then select a group. Available Addons lists the choices you can add; the selected list shows the choices already in the group.
3. Set the selection rules
Section titled “3. Set the selection rules”Use Min Addons for the minimum required choices and Max Addons for the maximum. Keep the minimum no higher than the maximum or the number of available choices. Save the group.
4. Test the choice in the guest menu
Section titled “4. Test the choice in the guest menu”Open the dish as a guest and check required selections, optional extras and the resulting price before ordering. If the POS supplies these options, correct the source and sync instead of making a competing copy.
