Switch on delivery and pickup

Take delivery and pickup orders on your own link, with no aggregator in between. Muncho switches the channels on for you; you set the charges and share the link.

You will need: Razorpay connected (see Connect Razorpay), and money in your Muncho wallet for riders and the delivery fee.

1. Ask us to switch them on

Open Delivery or Pickup in the sidebar. If the channel is not on yet, it has one entry, Set up, and the page says Delivery is not set up yet (or Pickup is not set up yet). Ask your Muncho account manager and we switch it on.

2. Set your delivery charges

Go to Delivery > Settings. Under Charges:

  • Packaging charge: a Fixed Amount or a Percentage added to each order.
  • Delivery charge: under Fulfillment, pick Restaurant Staff if your own riders deliver. Then choose the Type (Fixed Amount per order, or Dynamic per km) and the Amount.
  • Max Distance (km): how far you deliver.
  • Free delivery above: optional, to waive the delivery charge on bigger orders. Once it is set, Free within (km) limits that to nearby addresses. Both are for your own riders only.

Press Save.

3. Set your pickup charges

Go to Pickup > Settings and set the Packaging charge under Charges if you add one. Guests pay for pickup orders up front, online. Press Save.

Go to Delivery > Menu Links. Leave Whole menu selected, add a Campaign name (optional) to tag the link (for example instagram-bio), and copy the link. Put it on Instagram, your Google listing and WhatsApp. Pickup has its own link under Pickup > Menu Links.

What delivery costs

  • Delivery: the rider at cost, plus a Muncho fee of 5% of the bill (payment gateway included), plus GST. Both come out of your Muncho wallet.
  • Wallet top-ups start at Rs 1,000. See Plans and the Muncho wallet.
  • Pickup: no Muncho commission. Online payments carry a 2.1% payment gateway fee, and you choose whether the guest or you pay it, under Commission in Pickup > Settings. See Who pays the fees.

Common failures

Delivery only shows "Set up"

The channel is not switched on yet. The page says “To switch it on, ask your Muncho account manager.” Message us and we switch it on.

I cannot find the delivery charge amount

The Type and Amount fields only show when Fulfillment is Restaurant Staff. When Muncho books the riders, guests pay a set delivery fee and the rider’s cost comes out of your Muncho wallet.
